It is my pleasure to welcome all members of Council to this 105th meeting holding here in the Camp of Faith Okigwe, this weekend. I thank the Lord for the opportunity of meeting again, after our last meeting in March. I welcome you as well from the August Regional Conferences, where I believe that we all met with the Lord on our theme, “Be Ye Holy”. I was refreshed meeting with brethren from Abuja, Oshogbo, Akure and Benin Regions within that weekend. To God be the glory for His unfailing love and faithfulness in leading us through that weekend.
I have addressed both Council and Exco on three occasions this year. My February Exco address was centered on “Relevance of Holiness in Christian Service”, March was Council on “Holiness and integrity hall marks of Christian character”, and July Exco on “Perfecting holiness in the fear of God”.
Let me commence this address to you as Peter did in 1 Pet 1. “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied”. I have to do so because I found it difficult getting myself into this address. However, it was clear to me that I just have to receive something from our God to encourage and exhort this gathering. We devoted this year to admonishing ourselves on what I consider difficult, adult dose and senior theme, which I believe brought us to point of soberness, carefulness, fear of our God and reverence for God.
